LaGrange Highlands Elementary School
 Message from the PrincipalWelcome to LaGrange Highlands Elementary School in LaGrange, Illinois. Highlands Elementary is part of the LaGrange Highlands School District 106 and serves students from parts of Countryside, Indian Head Park, LaGrange, and Western Springs. Over 500 students from Early Childhood through fifth grade make up the Highlands Elementary family. Teachers, parents, students, and community members are dedicated to promoting student growth in all areas of learning including language and communication, math and science, history, the arts, technology, and physical and social-emotional health. We provide an environment that is safe, nurturing, and responsive to the needs of each individual student. The mission of District 106 is "To ensure every child reaches his or her potential." We seek for that to be our present reality. Our vision is that "District 106 will create an environment where students will learn to critically think, effectively communicate, respectfully collaborate, and problem-solve in order to prepare them for a successful future." This is what we strive to achieve and become. We are enthusiastic about what the 2012-2013 school year holds for Highlands Elementary School and we look forward to working together to help all students learn.
