Let’s get this year started! It is time to get in the school mindset. Start waking your kids up at 7:00 a.m., and make sure they are eating breakfast, reading, doing TenMarks, and going to bed before 10:00pm! This will make for a smooooooooth transition to the beginning of the year.

Communication / Schoology
We will use Schoology as our main source of communication; however, we will continue to use email in the event of an emergency. What is Schoology? It is an integrated learning management solution that provides course management, mobile learning, and support for system-wide communication. Schoology enables our students, parents and teachers to engage with learning materials and the Highlands community from the classroom and beyond. Schoology allows parents one place to find everything about the middle school, participate in discussions, communicate directly with your child and teachers, and to stay up-to-date on what is happening in the middle school. The Middle School Parents’ access code is BXJ64-RNB2H..
Also, make sure to join your child’s grade specific Parent Course. Team leaders will send the specific access codes the first week of school. This will give you access to your child’s grade level information and the opportunity to communicate with the team.
If you request paper copies of communication, please know that these are almost always sent after the electronic communication has taken place. Please be sure to add/update your email and setup your Schoology account as soon as possible.
Please make sure to review the student handbook, it can be found on the district website, under the our schools tab.
If you did not purchase uniforms during registration, they will be available for purchase beginning August 23, in the middle school office. Checks should be made out to LaGrange Highlands District 106
- Shirts - $8.00
- Shorts - $8:00
We look forward to seeing you as a guest and volunteer in the middle school throughout the school year. We want to remain as transparent and accessible as possible while also establishing and enforcing effective safety and security procedures. All visitors must sign in and will be issued a visitor’s lanyard. The lanyard will serve as an indication that the visitor has completed the sign-in procedure and that their presence in the building is accounted for. All regular volunteers are asked to complete the Volunteer Information Form and submit it to the middle school office prior to volunteering during school hours. The form will be accessible through the district website and in each office.
Please feel free to give me a call if you have any questions.
Mr. Papierski, Principal
