LaGrange Highlands Middle School
Message from the PrincipalHighlands Middle School is located in LaGrange, Illinois. Currently, we have 338 students enrolled in grades 6-8. We have strong academic programs in mathematics, social studies, science, English, and literature. In addition, our students are well versed in computer technology and are issued a district-owned laptop to use for the duration of their middle school career. Our students also have the opportunity to take a foreign language (French or Spanish). Our co-curricular programs of athletics and music are very successful. There are softball, basketball, and volleyball teams for both boys and girls. The cross country and soccer teams are coed, no-cut sports. And we have an intramural program that includes softball, soccer, basketball, and volleyball for all sixth grade students. Our music department features a chamber orchestra, concert orchestra, concert band, jazz band, chorus and show choir for interested middle school children. In addition, we have a computer club and a student newspaper. We have an outstanding staff that believes in supporting and encouraging children to be successful socially and academically. Our staff provides a positive, nurturing environment for all children. Our children have the opportunity to thrive in many areas and levels. I am honored to work with a staff that is so dedicated to the success of children. We are very lucky to have an active and supportive community. Highlands Middle School is a family of students, parents, and staff. Together we make our school a success. Mr. Mike Papierski, Principal Helpful Links
