Three seats on our seven-member Board of Education will be filled at the April 5, 2011 Consolidated Election. All three seats will be full four-year terms. Candidate Information Packets may be picked up in the district office at 1750 W. Plainfield Road beginning September 13th. If you have any questions regarding the nominating procedures or election, please contact the district office at 708-246-3085.

Key Dates and deadlines regarding the April 5th election:
Tuesday, September 21, 2010 - First day that prospective candidates may circulate nomination petitions for signatures.
Monday, December 13, 2010 - First day that candidates may file nominating papers with the Board secretary or designee(s).
Monday, December 20, 2010 - Last day candidates may file nominating papers with the Board secretary or designee(s).

On March 12, 2010 a small number of Highlands residents gathered to discuss the possibility of creating a community group whose mission is to beautify La Grange Highlands. Since that time we have spoken with many friends and neighbors who enthusiastically support the idea. If you are interested in this grassroots effort to beautify your community please join us. Let’sdiscuss your ideas and the concepts and projects that have been suggested such as a garden walk, community garden, flower planting, tree planting, welcome signs with flower beds, neighborhood groups, adopt a senior program, communitypicnic, & community directory.
