The objective of the District 106 Parent Teacher Council (PTC) is to join the school, home and community in a manner that supports the educational needs of our children. To accomplish this goal, the PTC fosters communication between the Highlands staff, parents and the community, coordinates various student services, and raises funds to support educational and social activities at Highlands.
The PTC's activities include fundraising events such as Market Day, Book Fair, Fun/Pizza/Pasta lunches, and Dessert Days. The PTC also coordinates student and family activities such as Art Smart, Friday Night Fever, Variety Show, Math/Science Family Night, and the 8th grade Party and Reception. In addition, once a year, the PTC grants thousands of dollars to support academic, cultural, technology, music and sports programs at Highlands.
