District Budget

Annually the Board of Education must adopt an operating budget. The budget covers the period of July 1st through June 30th of the following year. The budget includes revenues and expenditures for all funds. Each August a proposed budget is placed on display for public review and comments. A public hearing on the budget is held each September prior to adoption of the budget. This year's budget can be viewed by clicking on the District Budget link to the right.

District 106 Finance Committee

The LaGrange Highlands Finance Committee is an advisory group that studies and reports, at the request of the superintendent, on district initiatives and issues that impact the district. Specifically the finance committee will:

• Recommend efficient and responsible fiscal management practices in support of an excellent educational system.
• Provide input to the superintendent on annual budget plans that support District goals and Board policies.
• Make recommendations to ensure proactive planning for the financial future of District 106.

The formation of a Finance Committee is not intended to replace the responsibilities of the School Board and Superintendent as stated in the District 106 Board of Education Policy Manual.
