LaGrange Highlands School District 106 serves students from parts of Countryside, Indian Head Park, La Grange, and Western Springs. Students in Early Childhood through eighth grade make up the District 106 family. From academics to co-curricular programs of athletics and music, we strive to ensure every child reaches his/her potential.
We enjoyed a recent visit from members of the Highlands class of 1963!! Thank you, Mr. P, for the personalized tour. These alumni shared their warm memories of Highlands and the wonderful teachers!

Due to police activity in the area, Highlands is on "soft lockdown" at this time. Children will remain inside with minimal hallway movement (classes that had not eaten were escorted to/from the cafeteria).
IMPORTANT: If we are still in a lockdown at dismissal time, the following plan (developed with Cook County Sheriff input) will be followed:
(a) Children who walked/biked to school will not allowed to walk/bike home;
(b) A parent OR designated emergency contact should pick up the child(ren). You do not need to come into the office for pick up. We will bring your child(ren) out to you;
(c) Middle School students will be picked up at MS main doors, Elementary School students will be picked up at ES main FRONT doors, and for families with students in both buildings, students will be picked up at Elementary main FRONT doors. Early Childhood students will be picked up at their regular location.
(d) We will not release your child to anyone other than you or a designated emergency contact person. If you or the emergency contact person is unable to come for pickup, we will keep and supervise your child(ren). If the situation is resolved and we are able to have a regular dismissal, we will let you know.
