As we head into Spring Break....our young 7th grade scientists put Newton's First Law of Motion in action with our lab on Crash Test Dummies. Students discussed and calculated mass, acceleration, speed, and engineered a safety harness to keep up our passengers from flying over a wall! We even made graphs and worked on simulators to see how forces are applied to move heavy loads.Great results and real life skills on the importance of wearing your seat belts!

In early March, 35 band and orchestra students participated in the LT solo and ensemble festival. They performed solo and small group ensemble songs for judges and received ratings and comments back as a part of the event. They all received superior and excellent ratings. We were so proud of their performance and how they represented Highlands well!

A big congratulations to the Cast and Production Crew of Shrek Jr. It was truly a team effort to create such a wonderful production. We would also like to recognize the students who assisted behind the scenes as a part of make-up, costume/props, and set design crews. This show wouldn't have been able to go on without all of your help!
