Herbicide Application

A herbicide application is planned for Oct. 10th (after school - beds only) through Oct. 13th, 2019.  The exact time and date will be determined by the weather.  This herbicide application will be made to the school lawn and bed areas. If you have any questions about this application contact:

Congratulations on our Highlands ILMEA honor band/Jazz Band member

Congratulations to Nicholas Pabijan (7), Will Taylor (8) and Alex Westegaard for auditioning for and making an ILMEA honor band.  They competed with 500 students from all around the southwest suburbs to be accepted into these special groups.  Nicholas will perform with the Honor Band on Nov. 9.  Will and Alex will be performing with the Honor Jazz Bands on Nov. 16th.  Congrats again!#106learns #highlandsmusic

September 30 Joint Announcement Regarding Contract Negotiations

The following message on behalf of Heather Pilch (Teachers' Union President) and John Corcoran (District 106 Board President):

The Board and the Union met on September 30 to continue negotiations on the successor collective bargaining agreement. The meeting was positive and progress continues to be made toward a fair resolution for all stakeholders. The parties have committed to continuing negotiations on October 16, 28, and 30.
