Trinity Penar-Harla had a great weekend in Missouri. Trinity placed in 4 events and is striving to make Worlds in July. Only the top 10 girls in the country are invited! Trinity currently qualifies. Let's cross our fingers!

LaGrange Highlands District 106 announces that preschool screening for children ages 3 to 5 will be held on the morning of Monday, April 8, 2019 at the Highlands District Office, 1750 Plainfield Road, LaGrange. Children must live within the boundaries of District 106 to participate.
Children will be screened in the areas of fine and gross motor development, vision, hearing, speech and language. The purpose of the screening is to identify children who might need additional evaluation and to answer concerns parents may have about their child’s development.
Appointments are required and can be made by calling the District office at 708-485-3041 beginning March 18, 2019.
A regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Education will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at 7:00 p.m., in the LRC at 1750 W. Plainfield Road, La Grange, IL 60525. The agenda for the meeting is available by going to Administration --> Board of Education --> Agendas
After hearing about a Park Forest police officer hurt in the line of duty, fifth-grade students got right to work making cards to send to him to let him know that he is in their thoughts as he recovers from an injury he suffered over three years ago.
On March 14, two Highlands Middle School Battle of the Books teams participated in a fierce, 10-round competition against area middle schools at Park Junior High!

Summer School Registration is now open! Go to Student Info --> Summer School to register.
Registration will close on Sunday, March 24, 2018. In order to account for scheduled costs, any cancellation after the close of registration will result in a 25% fee. Summer school classes will be June 10-July 3 and our summer achievers reading and math classes will be June 10-July 18. We are looking forward to another summer of fun here at Highlands!

Fifth grade students interviewed family members, researched a country of their heritage, and created a family tree. During Heritage Day, students presented these projects to family members and peers.
The Highlands Middle School Math Team traveled to Gurie Saturday, March 2, to show off their math skills!
